Discord

stripeDiscord is a text and voice chat platform available through mobile app, desktop client, or — if you’d rather not download a program — desktop browser. Spectrum has a Discord server that all members are welcome (and highly encouraged) to join and use to communicate on a regular basis.

We do not publicly share our server’s invite link, but it’s available at all times on the company board in-game. You can also ask an officer or fellow member for a link. Friends outside of the FC are welcome to join as well.

If you need any help setting up or using Discord, please contact one of the officers. We would be happy to help!

The expectations outlined in our code of conduct apply to Discord as well. Failure to follow those rules can result in being demoted or banned from the server.

Similar to in-game, we have ranks set up for our server. They are as follows:

Admin » FC leaders.

Moderator » FC officers.

Veteran » FC members of Royal Blue rank that are regularly active on Discord, both text and voice.

Member » FC members.

Guest » Non-FC members. May be FFXIV players, friends or family of FC members, etc.

We use a few different text channels, including:

#spectrum » General chat. Feel free to talk about anything as long as it meets the code of conduct.

#notices » Used to relay information to FC members. This may be info regarding events, contests, important links, changes to FC stuff, hiatus announcements, and various notices relevant to members.

#music » For posting commands and audio links for the music bot, @Rythm. Due to the bursts of traffic this channel gets, muting is suggested.

We also have a number of voice channels. Keep in mind that joining voice chat is not required, but we will welcome you with open arms should you choose to try it! Our voice channels are:

Lounge » General voice chat.

Booth #1 » An alternate voice channel.

Booth #2 » Another alternate voice channel.

Raid Room #1 » For voice comms during scheduled raid times. If you’re not doing a scheduled FC raid, please use one of the booths instead of this room.

Raid Room #2 » For voice comms during scheduled raid times. If you’re not doing a scheduled FC raid, please use one of the booths instead of this room.

Theater » For voice comms while watching videos together. If you join the channel but are not participating in watching, please be courteous to those who are.

Music » For listening to music through the music bot, @Rythm.

Quiet Room » The AFK room. Mics are disabled here. People who go AFK for too long in a voice channel are auto-moved here.
